The situation escalated after a neighbor reported Berger's erratic behavior, leading to a police response that resulted in a lengthy standoff, gunfire, and eventual capture using an explosive device. Berger, who has a history of mental health issues, is now facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault against law enforcement officers, and is being held without bond at the Fulton County Jail.
