Gloria and Gary Moss, residents of Gwinnett County, successfully recovered nearly $50,000 after falling victim to a financial scam in February 2024, where a scammer impersonated a Chase Bank employee. The perpetrator, 26-year-old Audrey Michelle Townsend, was convicted on August 14 after an investigation revealed she manipulated the couple into providing sensitive information, allowing her to access their account. Despite the emotional and financial toll of the incident, the Mosses expressed forgiveness towards Townsend, while officials noted the rarity of victims receiving full restitution in such cases.
