Atlanta Police Involved in Fatal Shooting at Four Seasons Hotel After Armed Man Refuses Commands

Atlanta police fatally shot a man who was reportedly brandishing a firearm in the lobby of the Four Seasons hotel in Midtown early Wednesday morning, shortly before 1 a.m. Officers responded to a call about an armed individual and found the man outside the hotel with the gun. After he allegedly refused to drop the weapon and moved his hand toward it, police discharged their firearms, striking him; he later succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving efforts. The man's identity has not been released, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
