Wendy Celestin, one of four Atlanta police recruits dismissed following a dispute outside U Bar in East Point, is facing charges for allegedly firing a gun multiple times into the air during the incident on June 14. Celestin, who was arrested on July 4 and released on a $3,000 bond, is prohibited from possessing firearms or consuming alcohol and drugs as part of his bond conditions. The altercation involved all four recruits, who were reportedly intoxicated, and resulted in their termination three days later after the police confirmed their off-duty conduct did not meet agency standards.
