Keontay Holliman-Peoples, 26, pleaded guilty on October 6, 2023, to voluntary manslaughter and other charges in connection with the March 2023 shooting death of Clark Atlanta University student Jatonne Sterling. He was sentenced to 20 years, with 13 to be served in prison, and must complete a victim impact course and moral therapy as part of his plea agreement. The shooting occurred during a marijuana transaction on campus, resulting in Sterling's death, which led to a week-long cancellation of classes at the university.
