On Monday evening, a good Samaritan, 66-year-old Gary Edwards, intervened during two carjackings in Cobb County, helping to prevent the suspect from escaping. The incidents occurred near Delk Road and Franklin Gateway in Marietta, where Edwards confronted 32-year-old Rico Riley, who was attempting to steal a vehicle from its owner at a Chevron gas station. After intervening in both carjackings, Edwards held Riley at gunpoint until police arrived; Riley is now facing multiple charges, including attempted armed robbery and possession of cocaine.
