A 93-year-old military veteran, Arthur Johnson, died several months after being attacked and robbed in a DeKalb County pharmacy parking lot in July 2022. Samuel Willie Harvey, 62, was sentenced to 15 years in prison and five years probation after pleading guilty to charges including elder abuse and robbery by force. Although Johnson's health declined after the assault and he died four months later, authorities stated that Harvey was not charged in connection with his death due to inconclusive medical evidence linking it to the attack.
