An 84-year-old water main in DeKalb County broke on Tuesday, leading to a boil water advisory for nearly 8,800 households in the Toco Hill neighborhood and surrounding areas. The break, attributed to the pipe's age, has resulted in low to no water pressure, affecting approximately 20,000 people, including Emory University. The advisory will remain in effect until further notice as crews work on repairs, and bottled water is being distributed at designated centers.
