The deaths of Joycelyn Nicole Wilson, a 49-year-old Spelman College instructor, and her fiancé Gary Jones, a 50-year-old teacher at Westminster Schools, have been ruled as accidental drownings following their disappearance during a boating trip on February 8. Wilson's body was recovered the next day, while Jones was found a month later, submerged about 40 feet deep. Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills confirmed that there is no evidence of foul play and suggested that the small size of their boat may have contributed to the tragic incident.
