Fort Stewart Soldier Arrested After Opening Fire Injuring Multiple Co-Workers in Disturbing Incident

A 28-year-old U.S. Army sergeant, Quornelius Radford, is in custody after allegedly opening fire at Fort Stewart in southeast Georgia on Wednesday morning, injuring five co-workers. The incident occurred around 11 a.m., leading to a lockdown on the base, and all injured soldiers are expected to survive. Radford, who has been stationed at Fort Stewart since 2022, is being held in pre-trial confinement while the Army Criminal Investigation Division interviews him, and charges have yet to be filed.
