Recent shootings along Edgewood Avenue left 16 people injured and one dead, prompting local residents and business owners, including Sarah Oak Kim of Our Bar ATL, to call for increased police presence and city intervention to ensure safety. Councilmember Liliana Bakhtiari is advocating for a task force to address the violence and improve community safety, emphasizing the need for investment rather than reinvention of the historically significant area.
