Judge Recuses Himself from Barrow County School Shooting Case as New Trial Date Approaches
The judge presiding over the Barrow County school shooting case, Judge Currie Mingledorff, has recused himself due to his impending retirement, leading to the reassignment of the case to Judge Sarah Griffie. The shooting suspect, 14-year-old Colt Gray, faces 55 charges, including four counts of felony murder, for a shooting spree at Apalachee High School on September 4 that resulted in four fatalities and numerous injuries. Colt's father, Colin Gray, is also charged with 29 counts for providing his son with the firearm used in the attack.
