Life Sentence for Man Who Fatally Shot 11-Year-Old Asijah Love Jones in Spalding County Gang Violence Incident
Asijah Love Jones, an 11-year-old girl from Spalding County, was tragically killed by a stray bullet fired into her bedroom on March 14, 2023. Kionta Parks, 23, of Griffin, was sentenced to life in prison plus five years after pleading guilty to charges including felony murder and domestic terrorism. Parks, a member of the Zoo Krew gang, fired 28 rounds in an attack intended for a gang member, resulting in Asijah's death, which her family described as a devastating loss.
