A man was found dead in a Rockdale County lake after fleeing a traffic stop early Sunday morning. At approximately 2:30 a.m., deputies attempted to pull over the driver near Old Salem and Underwood roads, but he ran from the vehicle and entered the lake to evade capture. After losing sight of him, authorities paused the search due to unsafe conditions and resumed at daybreak, ultimately recovering the man's body by 7 p.m.
