MARTA Issues Warning on Prohibited Items for Jimmy Carter Viewing at Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta

MARTA officials are advising mourners to avoid bringing backpacks or purses to the Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta during the viewing of former President Jimmy Carter, who lies in repose until 6 a.m. Tuesday. Prohibited items include aerosols, bicycles, coolers, and firearms, among others, and any items brought will be surrendered at the center. In addition, MARTA is offering free shuttle services from the King Memorial station, with surrounding roads closed until noon Tuesday, while rail service to the station will operate continuously for 60 hours.
