Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for a murder suspect who fled from a car chase in Grantville, with officials confirming that a Georgia State Patrol K-9 was shot during the incident. The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office has indicated that the suspect, who is armed and dangerous, has not yet been identified, and residents in the area have been advised to stay indoors and report any suspicious activity. The injured police dog was taken to Blue Pearl Hospital in Sandy Springs for surgery and was reported to be stable later in the evening.
