More than 250 dogs and cats were removed from a home on Sells Lane in Trenton, North Georgia, in what officials described as one of the worst cases of animal cruelty in recent memory. The Georgia Department of Agriculture and Dade County authorities seized approximately 240 dogs and 16 cats, many in various states of neglect, during a 14-hour inspection. The rescued animals have been relocated to shelters across several counties, and authorities plan to file charges following the investigation.
