Emergency calls released on Friday detail a chaotic scene following the shooting of 16-year-old Daquavius Royalston at his southeast Atlanta home on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. in the 400 block of Mulberry Row, where police found the boy with gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported that the boy was mistakenly shot by his mother's significant other, who believed he was an intruder, while neighbors described hearing a woman screaming and seeing a man fleeing the area with a gun.
