Ronnie Brent Massey, 49, an assistant principal at LaFayette High School in Walker County, was arrested on June 2, 2023, on ten felony charges related to possessing child sexual abuse material. The Catoosa County Sheriff's Office began investigating after being tipped off by the messaging app Kik, leading to the discovery of 12 videos on Massey's phone. Walker County Schools is cooperating with law enforcement and has stated that appropriate personnel actions are being taken while maintaining confidentiality due to the ongoing investigation.
