A Walmart employee in Covington went on a shooting spree early Friday, killing two individuals and injuring one at separate locations, according to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office. The incident began at the Walmart Supercenter on Salem Road around 1:30 a.m., where the suspect targeted acquaintances, resulting in one victim dying at the scene and another critically injured. The shooter then fled the scene, forced entry into a nearby home, and fatally shot another acquaintance before being apprehended in South Carolina.
