An Alpharetta man, Matthew Timothy Neet, 42, has been arrested for allegedly selling over $1 million in counterfeit tickets for events including the Masters Tournament and University of Georgia football games. Authorities report that Neet deceived at least 30 victims across Georgia, with total fraudulent transactions exceeding $1.3 million, and he has a history of similar scams dating back to 2013. Currently held in the Jones County Jail, he faces charges for theft by conversion and has pending holds from multiple law enforcement agencies.
