Atlanta Braces for Another Round of Severe Weather After Deadly Weekend Storms

After severe storms over the weekend that resulted in one fatality and left thousands without power, metro Atlanta is bracing for another round of severe weather on Monday, October 23, 2023. The National Weather Service has issued a Level 2 of 5 risk for storms, with the highest threat expected between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m., potentially bringing winds of 60 mph or greater and a low risk of tornadoes. While the day may start with partly to mostly sunny skies, the arrival of a cold front later in the day could lead to more organized storm activity.
