On Thursday, students from Drew Charter School in Atlanta were placed in lockdown during a college tour at Florida State University when gunfire erupted around noon. Multiple people were shot near the student union building, resulting in two fatalities and five injuries, with the suspected gunman identified as a 20-year-old FSU student and son of a sheriff's deputy. Drew Charter School officials confirmed that all their students and staff were safe and are preparing to return to Atlanta later that evening.
