Nearly two years after jury selection began, closing arguments were delivered on Monday in the gang and racketeering trial involving Atlanta rapper Young Thug, marking the longest trial in Georgia's history. Only two defendants, Deamonte Kendrick and Shannon Stillwell, remain as Young Thug and three others pleaded guilty. Prosecutors characterized the "Young Slime Life" group as a violent gang responsible for at least three murders, while defense attorneys argued that YSL was merely a record label and sought to undermine the credibility of the state's witnesses. The jury is expected to begin deliberations on Tuesday.
