Cobb County Authorities Investigate Second Child Kidnapping Attempt in Two Months
Authorities in Cobb County are investigating a second attempted kidnapping of a child within two months. A 12-year-old girl reported that 39-year-old Seron D. Kennedy tried to abduct her at her bus stop in Austell on May 5. Kennedy was arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping after the girl provided details about him and his vehicle, and the incident was captured on surveillance video.
