Cobb County Superior Court Clerk Connie Taylor was indicted on two counts of destruction of public records and two counts of violation of oath of office by the Georgia Attorney General on Thursday. The charges stem from allegations that Taylor ordered the deletion of records related to passport processing fees she had taken as personal income, which totaled over $425,000 in less than two years. Despite ongoing controversies and criticism regarding her office's record-keeping, Taylor was reelected in 2024.
