Conyers Police Involved in Fatal Shooting After Gas Station Threat: GBI Investigates
The GBI has identified Jesse Roach, 40, of Carrollton, as the man fatally shot by Conyers police on Wednesday morning after he allegedly threatened a gas station clerk with a gun. Officers responded to a call at a Chevron on Sigman Road, where Roach attempted to flee in a black truck, crashing into a parked car and the gas station. After a confrontation where Roach fired at officers, he was shot and later pronounced dead at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital; the GBI is conducting the investigation.
