A shooting in southwest Atlanta early Friday morning resulted in the death of 33-year-old McKinley Drakeford and left another man critically injured. Police responded to a report of the shooting on Newcastle Street at 12:17 a.m., where they found Drakeford unresponsive and later confirmed his death at the scene. The second victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical but stable condition, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
