The incident, which occurred during a dispute over the $2.50 fare at the Decatur station on Church Street, involved three juveniles who are all being charged as adults. Ramos, a 47-year-old husband and father, was remembered by his family as a kind-hearted individual, and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 732 emphasized the need for safety for transit workers.
