DeKalb County Man Arrested for Murder After Body Found in Burning Car in Atlanta

Marcus Overstreet, 42, was arrested in Union City on July 22, 2024, seven months after he allegedly fatally shot Mario Culver, 36, at a home in DeKalb County. Following the shooting, Overstreet reportedly wrapped Culver's body in a rug and transported it to a car, where it was later discovered after a vehicle fire in northwest Atlanta. Overstreet faces multiple charges, including murder, and is being held without bond, with his attorney recently filing a motion to set bond.
