The National Weather Service has warned that some areas in Atlanta could receive over an inch of rain, while others may see no rain at all. Areas north of Atlanta are expected to experience the heaviest rainfall, according to NWS meteorologist Ryan Willis. Residents are advised to be cautious when going out for groceries or picking up mobile orders from restaurants. A severe thunderstorm risk is anticipated, with winds reaching 50 to 60 mph, which could disrupt commutes in North Georgia. Flash flooding is a concern for Atlanta around 7 p.m. through midnight. Willis noted that while some areas may face adverse conditions, the majority of people's commutes should be manageable. The situation is being closely monitored as the storms develop.
