DeKalb County Officer David Rose Dies Heroically After Responding to CDC Shooting Incident

DeKalb County police Officer David Rose, 33, was critically injured and later died after responding to a shooting outside the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday. Known for his deep connection to the Emory community, where his mother worked as an ICU nurse, Rose had recently graduated from the police academy in March and joined the department in September. He is remembered as a dedicated officer and a devoted family man, leaving behind a wife and two children, with a third on the way, and becoming the fourth Georgia officer killed in the line of duty this year.
