Deplorable Conditions Exposed in Northwest Georgia Home as Five Arrested for Animal Cruelty

A home in Lafayette, GA, listed for $275,000, was condemned after investigators discovered severe animal cruelty conditions. Five individuals residing there, including James Delbert Fields, Jr. and Miriam Fields, were arrested and charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty after a potential buyer reported finding a dead ferret and numerous animals living in deplorable conditions. Authorities removed nine dogs, four cats, two horses, and other livestock from the property, which had been on the market for just a week before being taken down.
