An EF1 tornado touched down in Hall County during severe storms on Friday, producing maximum sustained winds of up to 90 mph and traveling over Lake Lanier for approximately three miles. The tornado caused damage to trees on Highway 60 and at an apartment complex, but thankfully resulted in no structural damage. In related incidents, a business collapsed in Forsyth County injuring four employees, and a tree fell on a home in southwest Atlanta, leading to the tragic death of a 10-year-old girl, while her mother and grandmother were hospitalized in stable condition.
