From Trouble to Triumph: How Atlanta's At-Promise Centers are Transforming Young Lives and Reducing Crime

Teiarra Sims, a 23-year-old intern at the At-Promise Center in Atlanta, credits the program for helping her overcome challenges, including a brush with the law after high school. The Atlanta Police Foundation has established three At-Promise centers since 2017, serving over 2,000 young people aged 12 to 24, with a fourth center set to open next year. These centers provide a range of free services, including tutoring, counseling, and career planning, aiming to offer youth alternatives to street life and reduce crime in the community.
