Fulton County is contemplating a resolution to exit the Westside Tax Allocation District, which would cut off funding essential for economic development in historically underserved areas of Atlanta. The resolution, if approved by the Board of Commissioners, would end the county's financial contributions to the Westside TAD, which have totaled $96 million since its inception in the 1990s, and could severely impact ongoing affordable housing projects in neighborhoods like Vine City and English Avenue.
