Fulton County Superior Court Judge Kevin Farmer indicated that he is likely to dismiss charges against over 60 protesters of Atlanta's Public Safety Training Center under the state's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, stating that the Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr's office lacked the authority to bring the indictment. During a motions hearing on Tuesday, Farmer noted that the AG's office could have sought permission from Governor Brian Kemp to prosecute but failed to do so. Defense attorney Amanda Clark Palmer supported Farmer's decision, asserting that the AG exceeded statutory authority in this case.
