Fulton County Juror's Hidden Felony Leads to New Trial for Attempted Murder Defendant in Atlanta
  • Share on:

A juror in Darren Mills' attempted murder trial in Fulton County failed to disclose her felony conviction for cocaine possession, leading the Georgia Court of Appeals to grant Mills a new trial. The juror, identified as "C.L.L.," did not reveal her conviction during jury selection, which violates Georgia law prohibiting felons from serving on juries. Mills, who is currently serving a 30-year sentence for attempted murder and armed robbery, may also have his co-defendants, Dominique Carter and Quatez White, eligible for new trials as a result of this ruling.
