Three small earthquakes were recorded in northern Georgia this week, with the latest occurring in Columbia County near Augusta on Wednesday evening. The two back-to-back quakes measured 1.9 and 2.0 magnitudes, prompting about a dozen reports of minor shaking but no damage. Earlier, a 2.1 magnitude earthquake was reported in Chattooga County on March 29, with similar results in terms of felt reports and no damage.
