Hazardous Materials Truck Overturns in Douglas County Prompting Evacuation of Residents

Residents of a southwest Douglas County neighborhood were allowed to return home after a tractor-trailer carrying hazardous materials overturned on Friday morning, prompting an evacuation. The tanker, which was transporting 200 pounds of blasting agents including ammonium nitrate, tipped over on Wilson Road, leading officials to evacuate those within a half-mile radius for safety.
