K-9 Titan Heroically Dies in Line of Duty While Protecting Coweta Deputy from Armed Suspect
On late Wednesday, K-9 Titan, a Belgian Malinois with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, was killed while attempting to apprehend a suspect, Jason Andre Wilson, who opened fire during a traffic stop initiated by Deputy Blaize Henderson. Titan, who had served the department for over five years, was the first police K-9 to die in the line of duty in Georgia this year and the 19th nationwide. The sheriff’s office is planning a funeral for Titan, as the community expresses gratitude for his service and support for Deputy Henderson, who sustained injuries in the incident.
