A man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Thursday after firing at officers outside a Buc-ee's in Gordon County, Georgia, and leading police on a chase in a stolen vehicle. The incident began around 4 a.m. when Calhoun police responded to a domestic dispute at the Buc-ee's on Union Grove Road, where the suspect fled after attempting to evade arrest and carjacked another vehicle. Following a pursuit that included gunfire exchanged with law enforcement, the man was found dead in his vehicle after crashing on I-75, with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation assisting in the ongoing investigation.
