A man named Ali Rasheed Washington, 34, was shot by Milledgeville police on Saturday night after he stabbed an officer multiple times at a mobile home park on Moore Street. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. when officers were called to the scene for a medical assistance request. Both Washington and the injured officer were taken to a hospital, with Washington in stable condition; he now faces charges of aggravated assault against a police officer and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.
