Man Shot by Troopers During Arrest After Suspected Murder and Arson in North Georgia Home Fire

A man suspected of murdering another individual in a North Georgia home and subsequently setting it ablaze was shot by state troopers during his arrest, according to the GBI. The incident occurred on James Street near Resaca on Monday evening, where authorities discovered a body in the burnt structure. The suspect, identified as Christopher Lee Dixon, 46, was found hiding nearby and engaged in a struggle with law enforcement, resulting in his being shot before being taken into custody and hospitalized for minor injuries.
