Oreo the Beloved Atlanta Police Horse Passes Away After a Decade of Service and Community Bonding
Oreo, a former competition horse who served with the Atlanta Police Department's Mounted Patrol Unit for over 10 years, passed away at the age of 21 on Tuesday. Known for his vibrant personality and impressive skills, Oreo aided in the apprehension of three carjacking suspects and assisted in catching a burglar. The department expressed deep gratitude to the veterinary staff at the Georgia Aquarium for their support and noted that Oreo will be greatly missed by his handler, Officer Ryan Dobler, and the entire Mounted Patrol family.
