Suwanee Drive-By Shooting Claims Life of Local Woman as Suspect Arrested Near Scene

A 23-year-old man, Christian Marcus Ware Lessington, was arrested in Suwanee early Friday morning following a drive-by shooting that resulted in the death of 45-year-old Nicole Winds Clemons. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Baxley Village Trail, where Clemons was struck by gunfire while inside her home, allegedly as Lessington was targeting another individual. This marks the first homicide in Suwanee in two years, and local authorities are continuing their investigation with assistance from neighboring police departments.
