Teen Suspect Sought in Fatal Shooting of Stepfather in Covington Georgia

Newton County authorities are searching for 16-year-old Jayden Daniel, who is accused of fatally shooting his stepfather, 41-year-old David Gay, on Tuesday evening near Avery Drive in Covington. After the shooting, Daniel allegedly fled in Gay's 2016 Cadillac Escalade, which was later found abandoned about 7 miles away at Denny Dobbs Park. Daniel faces multiple charges, including murder and aggravated assault, and is considered armed and dangerous, prompting officials to urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact 911.
