Teenager Injured in Police Shooting During Foot Pursuit in Brunswick After Alleged Involvement in Shooting

A teenager, 18-year-old Larry Labraun Kirkland, was injured after Brunswick police shot at him during a foot pursuit following a shooting incident on Wednesday. Police responded to a shooting at a home on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and identified Kirkland as a suspect. After a chase, officers attempted to arrest him but noticed he was armed; one officer deployed a Taser while another shot at him, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries. The GBI is investigating the incident, which is the 15th officer-involved shooting they have been asked to examine in 2025.
