Tragedy Strikes on Independence Day as Three Boat Explosions Rock North Georgia Lakes

On July 4, 2023, a boat explosion on Lake Nottely in northeast Georgia injured Matthew Miller and his family, as well as several others, during their holiday outing. The explosion occurred shortly after they refueled, engulfing the boat in flames and resulting in 14 injuries across three separate incidents in the state. Miller's sons Aiden and Isaac suffered severe burns, with Isaac being placed on a ventilator, while community support has raised over $33,000 to assist with medical expenses.
