On Wednesday morning, Locust Grove police responded to a domestic-related shooting at a home on Weymouth Drive, where a man was reported to be firing a gun inside. Upon arrival, officers found a man dead from a gunshot wound in a downstairs bedroom and a woman hiding in a bathroom, who was taken to Piedmont Henry Hospital for treatment. The suspect surrendered to police, and while the investigation is ongoing, authorities confirmed that the incident was domestic-related and that the public was not in danger.
